US drawn wire imports down 13.4 percent in November

According to delayed final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of drawn wire totaled 45,684 mt in November 2018, down 13.4 percent from October. By value, drawn wire imports totaled $57.9 million in November 2018, compared to $64.6 million in the previous month.

The US imported the most drawn wire from Mexico in November, with 10,738 mt, compared to 9,794 mt in October. Other top sources of imported drawn wire in November include China with 10,395 mt; Canada, with 9,644 mt; Japan, with 3,813 mt; and Korea, with 3,067 mt.
