According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of drawn wire totaled 6,769 mt in March 2020, up 10.8 percent from February and up 20.9 percent from March 2019 levels. By value, drawn wire exports totaled $13.6 million in March, compared to $12.4 million in the previous month and $13.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most drawn wire to Canada in March with 2,981 mt, compared to 2,947 mt in February and 1,936 mt in March 2019. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 2,694 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US drawn wire exports in March.
