According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of drawn wire totaled 6,458 mt in November 2018, down 8.5 percent from October and down 19.1 percent from November 2017 levels. By value, drawn wire exports totaled $15.3 million in November, compared to $16.2 million in the previous month and $15.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most drawn wire to Mexico in November with 3,058 mt, compared to 3,201 mt in October and 2,657 mt in November 2017. Other destinations included Canada, with 2,304 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US drawn wire exports in November.
