US cut-length plate exports rise 20.9 percent in November

US exports of cut-length steel plate totaled 81,410 mt in November, up 20.9 percent from October and up 3.8 percent from November 2015 levels. By value, the exports totaled $68.6 million in November, compared to $62.5 million in the previous month and $69.9 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Canada in November, with 43,040 mt, compared to 28,271 mt in October and 42,628 mt in November 2015. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 35,305 mt compared to 37,574 mt in October and 31,771 mt in November 2015. There were no other notable destinations with tonnage levels surpassing 1,000 mt.
