According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheet totaled 69,168 mt in August 2023, down 3.5 percent from July but up 27.3 percent from August 2022. By value, CRC exports totaled $89.1 million in August, compared to $89.6 million in the previous month and $67.2 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in August with 51,648 mt, compared to 55,471 mt in July and 36,701 mt in August 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 16,900 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in August.
