Ukrainian steel industry’s power and gas consumption rises in Jan-Nov

In November, the Ukrainian steel industry kept its natural gas consumption almost unchanged compared to the previous month at 450 million cubic meters, with the average daily consumption of natural gas during the month totaling 15 million cubic meters - up from 14.7 million cubic meters in October.

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in January-November this year the domestic steel industry's average daily consumption of natural gas amounted to 14 million cubic meters.

In addition, during the first 11 months of the current year, Ukraine's steel industry also increased its power consumption by 15 percent year on year to about 35.35 billion kWh.
