According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA), in January-November this year Ukraine's ferroalloys production increased by 41.2 percent compared to the same period last year to 1.31 million mt.
Accordingly, during the first 11 months of this year, Ukraine's silicomanganese output increased by 29 percent to 861,100 mt, its ferromanganese production went up by 2.3 times to 258,600 mt, its ferrosilicon output increased by 32 percent to 176,700 mt, while its metallic manganese production increased by three percent to 14,000 mt, all compared to the same period of 2009.
Specifically, in January-November this year, the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant increased its ferroalloy output by 42 percent year on year to 842,000 mt, including 647,300 mt of silicomanganese and 194,700 mt of ferromanganese.
Meanwhile, during the period in question, Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant increased its ferroalloy output by 35.6 percent year on year to 268,300 mt, including 137,600 mt of silicomanganese, 63,900 mt of ferromanganese, 52,800 mt of ferrosilicon and 14,000 mt of metallic manganese.
In addition, another major Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant increased its January-November ferroalloy output by 45.5 percent year on year to 200,100 mt, including 123,900 mt of ferrosilicon and 76,200 mt of silicomanganese.
