In 2013, Ukraine's ferroalloy production decreased by 14.9 percent compared to 2012 to 872,200 mt, according to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA).
In 2013 Ukraine's silicomanganese output decreased by 13.7 percent to 633,600 mt, its ferromanganese production went down by 46.8 percent to 83,600 mt, its metallic manganese production decreased by 50.6 percent to 7,200 mt, while its ferrosilicon output increased by 23.7 percent to 147,700 mt, all compared to 2012.
Specifically, in 2013, the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant's ferroalloy output decreased by 36 percent year on year to 421,000 mt, including 393,500 mt of silicomanganese and 27,500 mt of ferromanganese.
Meanwhile, during 2013 Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant's ferroalloy output went up by 50 percent year on year to 298,200 mt, including 205,700 mt of silicomanganese, 56,100 mt of ferromanganese and 7,200 mt of metallic manganese.
In addition, another major Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant saw its ferroalloy output fall in 2013 by 9.4 percent year on year to 152,900 mt, including 118,600 mt of ferrosilicon and 34,400 mt of silicomanganese.
