Ukraine’s pipe imports rise by 4.8 percent in January over December

In January of the current year, Ukraine's steel pipe imports increased by 4.8 percent compared to December and were up by 190 percent compared to January 2010, rising to 10,020 mt, valued at $12.05 million.
 
Specifically, in January this year Ukraine imported 6,950 mt of seamless pipes - up six percent month on month, of which 5,970 mt were supplied from Russia.
 
Ukraine's imports of steel pipes of more than 406.4 mm outside diameter amounted to 2,480 mt in January - up 118 percent month on month, of which 2,420 mt were imported from Russia.
 
In addition, in January Ukraine imported 590 mt of other tubes, pipes and hollow profiles - down 68 percent month on month, of which 170 mt were shipped from Italy.
