Turkey’s steel pipe exports continue to fall in January

According to the statistics provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in January this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 132,563 metric tons, falling by 5.2 percent year on year and down 16.15 percent compared to December 2011. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $123 million, falling by 22.4 percent compared to January 2011 and down 3.2 percent month on month.

Turkey's steel pipe exports to the US increased strongly in the first month of 2012, while exports to EU-27 countries generally declined, both compared to the same month last year.
