Turkey’s PPGI exports down 10.3 percent in Jan from Dec

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 18,716 mt, down 10.3 percent month on month and up 79.8 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $16.5 million, decrasing by 9.4 percent as compared to December and up 56.4 percent compared to the same month of 2018.

Greece was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in January, with imports of 5,368 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Greece was followed by Bulgaria and Algeria, whose PPGI imports from Turkey amounted to 1,774 mt and 1,409 respectively.
