In February this year, Turkey’s hot rolled coil (HRC) exports amounted to 220,615 metric tons, up by 52.9 percent compared to January and down by 22.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $115.16 million, increasing by 56.1 percent compared to the previous month and down by 20.5 percent year on year.
In the first two months of this year, Turkey's HRC exports amounted to 331,850 mt, down 13.5 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 13 percent to $188.93 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest HRC export destination was Italy with 44,320 mt, down 45.7 percent year on year. Italy was followed by Greece with 32,032 mt, down 10.6 percent, and the US with 28,525 mt.
