Turkey’s ferroalloy imports down 30.6 percent in Sept from Aug

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year Turkey's ferroalloy imports fell 30.6 percent compared to the previous month, totaling 35,021 metric tons. The value of these imports amounted to $54.4 million, decreasing by 32 percent as compared to August this year.
 
In September, Georgia was Turkey's biggest source of ferroalloy with 6,576 metric tons, increasing by 157.8 percent month on month and accounting for approximately 18.8 percent of Turkey's total ferroalloy imports. Turkey's second biggest source of ferroalloy imports in September was Norway with 5,577 metric tons, increasing by 11.5 percent compared to August this year.

In the first nine months of this year, Turkey's ferroalloy imports totaled 334,713 metric tons. Imports from Ukraine in January-September this year amounted to 105,552 metric tons, while imports from India in the first nine months of the year came to 50,414 mt.
