Tata Steel Limited has reported domestic crude steel production of 5.01 million mt in the first quarter (April-June) of the fiscal year 2023-24, a growth of a marginal two percent year on year, a company statement said on Friday, July 7.

The company said growth in output was slower owing to mills making planned maintenance shutdowns during the quarter.

Tata Steel reported sales of 4.8 million mt during the first quarter, up 18 percent year on year.
