Taiwan’s basic metal export orders up 14.3 percent in January-August

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in August this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.5 billion, up by 2.2 percent compared to August last year and decreasing by 2.5 percent compared to the previous month. In July, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded a 2.6 percent increase month on month.

In the January-August period of the current year, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders rose by 14.3 percent year on year to $20.09 billion.
