Steel service center shipments in the US and Canada decline in October

In October 2016, US service center steel shipments decreased by 8.6 percent from October 2015, according to a report today from the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI). Steel product inventories decreased 18.4 percent from October a year ago.
 
Meanwhile, in October 2016, Canadian service center shipments of steel products decreased by 6.1 percent from October 2015. Steel product inventories decreased 11.2 percent from October a year ago.
