South Korea’s new car registrations up 37.6 percent in Jan 2026

In January this year, South Korea’s new car registrations went down by 26.7 percent month on month and up by 37.6 percent year on year to 20,960 units, according to the data released by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).

BMW had the biggest share in sales with 29.91 percent, followed by Mercedes-Benz with 24.43 percent.
