South Korea’s new car registrations up 16.7 percent in 2025

In December last year, South Korea’s new car registrations fell by 2.6 percent month on month and rose by 21.6 percent year on year to 28,608 units, according to the data released by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).

Meanwhile, in the full year of 2025, South Korean new car registrations advanced by 16.7 percent year on year to 307,377 units.
