Russian steel producer Severstal has announced that its new pipe and section mill Severstal TPZ Sheksna, located in the Sheksna industrial zone in Russia's Vologoda region, has delivered its first orders of 100 × 100 mm longitudinal welded steel pipes of 3,4,5 and 6 mm thicknesses, used in the construction and machine building sectors. The total amount of the first delivered orders was 460 mt.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, the new 250,000 mt capacity Severstal TPZ Sheksna was commissioned in the beginning of June this year, and will produce round, square and rectangular pipes of different sizes under GOST and European standards. In 2010, Severstal's Sheksna mill is expected to produce about 70,000 mt of products.
