Severstallat Silesia, the welded pipe producing and steel distributing subsidiary of Russian steel producer Severstal, has announced that it has became the first Polish producer to receive certification for the use of the CE mark on its water and gas pipes.

Accordingly, since late 2010, following the audit carried out by TÜV NORD Systems,  Severstallat Silesia is allowed to use the CE mark not only on its structural welded steel pipes (EN 10219), but also on its welded water and gas pipes of 21.3-76.1 mm diameter (EN 10255). This confirms the compliance of Severstallat Silesia's products with EU directives, and enables the company to deliver its steel pipes to customers involved in the production of systems for distribution and storage of water or gas.
