The Russian steel producer Severstal has announced that in 2010-2011 it will supply about 28,000 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes to the biggest Russian oil company Lukoil for its Pyakyakhinskoe oil and gas condensate field development in Yamal-Nenetsk autonomous region (YaNAO) in Western Siberia.

Accordingly, up to the end of the current year, Severstal Cherepovets, the main steel producing facility of Severstal Russian Steel, will produce and deliver 9,000 mt of LD pipes for the construction of the pipeline from the field.

Within the framework of the project to develop the Pyakyakhinskoe field of the Bolshekhetskaya Basin, a 126-km gas pipeline is planned to be constructed to the Nakhodkinsoye field, with a 160-km pipeline to be built to the Vankor central collection point.
