Severstal Cherepovets invests $5 million in converter steel production in 2010

Severstal Cherepovets, the main steel producing facility of Severstal Russian Steel, has announced that in 2010 it invested Ruble 144.47 million (about $5 million) in the development of its converter steel production.
 
Accordingly, the implementation of investment activities at Severstal Cherepovets's converter shop, has allowed the plant to increase its steel smelting by 16 percent year on year in 2010.
