SAIL sees 43% rise in net profit in Q4 of FY 2025-26

Government-run Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) reported net profit of INR 16.8 billion ($174.86 million) in fourth quarter (January-March) of fiscal 2025-26, a rise of 43 percent over corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, according to a company statement on Monday, May 18.

The company reported total revenue of INR 308.13 billion ($3.21 billion) during the quarter, a rise of 5.10 percent.

SAIL reported total sales during the fourth quarter at 5.32 million mt, marginally lower than 5.33 million mt in corresponding quarter of previous fiscal and crude steel production too showed a slight fall at 5.08 million mt compared to 5.09 million mt in corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
