SAIL reports 8% rise in crude steel output in Q1 FY 2023-24

Indian state-run steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) achieved crude steel production of 4.667 million mt in the first quarter (April-June) of the fiscal 2023-24, up eight percent year on year, a company statement said on Wednesday, July 5.

The steel producer reported sales of 3.9 million mt during the quarter, up 24 percent year on year. SAIL has an annual template installed capacity of 20 million mt per year.
