Rebar costs up in greater Buenos Aires area in March

Rebar costs in the greater Buenos Aires area rose 3.7 percent in March, month-on- month, local statistics agency, Indec, said this week.

According to Indec, rebar was among the products whose cost increased the most within the general expenses category in March, on a month-on-month analysis.

The local statistics agency said the cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires area in March increased 2.6 percent, month-on-month. Cost of materials in March grew 2.3 percent, while workforce costs rose 2.1 percent, both on a month-on-month basis. Indec said general expenses in the greater Buenos Aires in March improved 6.4 percent, also on a month-on-month analysis.
