Rebar costs increase in Buenos Aires area in September

Rebar costs in the greater Buenos Aires area in September rose 26.4 percent, month-on-month, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency, Indec.

According to government data, rebar was among the products whose cost increased the most in September, on a month-on-month basis, within the general expenses category. Indec said cost of civil construction in the Buenos Aires area in September improved 7.3 percent, month-on-month.

Cost of materials and workforce in September increased 14.1 and 3.3 percent, respectively, month-on-month, while general expenses in the greater Buenos Aires area was up 3.5 percent in the same period.
