Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced that in the third quarter this year its raw coal production volume decreased by four percent compared to the second quarter of this year to 2.459 million mt.

In the given period, concentrate sales decreased by eight percent to 1.527 million mt, while hard coking coal sales declined by 32 percent to 226,000 mt, quarter on quarter.

During the third quarter, according to Raspadskaya's statement, export sales volumes of coal concentrate declined by seven percent to 819,000 mt due to lower preparation of coking coal concentrate, while domestic sales of coking coal concentrate declined by 9.2 percent to 708,000 mt, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
