Peruvian iron ore export prices stable in March

Peruvian iron ore export prices remained stable in March on a year-on-year analysis, according to data released by the local central bank, BCRP.

Government data said Peruvian iron ore export prices in March reached $48/mt FOB, same as in March 2019. However, Peruvian iron ore export prices in March fell from $54.3/mt FOB in February this year.

The central bank said Peruvian iron ore export volumes in March this year totaled 1.4 million mt, stable from March 2019, but fell 33.3 percent, month-on-month, from 2.1 million mt in February.
