Peruvian iron ore export prices rise in October

Peruvian iron ore export prices in October rose 9.4 percent, month-on-month, to $38.3/mt, according to data released by the country’s central bank, BCRP.

BCRP said local iron ore export prices in October improved 47.8 percent, year-on-year, from $25.9/mt in October 2016.

Peruvian iron ore export volumes in October reached the lowest level so far in 2017, totaling 100,000 mt, down from 1 million mt in September this year and 900,000 mt in October 2016.
