Peruvian iron ore export prices increase in November

Peruvian iron ore export prices in November rose 56.8 percent, year-on-year, to $49.7/mt FOB, according to local central bank BCRP. Peruvian iron ore export prices in November declined 16.8 percent, year-on-year, from $59.8/mt FOB.

Peruvian iron ore export prices have been on a decreasing trend since reaching a peak of $84.7/mt FOB in June 2019. Since then prices have declined month-on-month, to $83.7/mt FOB in July, $69.5/mt FOB in August, $62.9/mt FOB in September, $59.8/mt FOB in October and $49.7/mt FOB in November.

BCRP said Peruvian iron ore export volumes in November totaled 1.8 million mt, up from 900,000 mt in the same month of 2018.
