The Peruvian Institute for the Defense of Competition and Intellectual Property, Indecopi, has applied anti-dumping (AD) measures on Chinese welded tubes imports, according to a document filling this week.

According to Indecopi, Tianjin Zhihengtai Steel and all other Chinese exports should pay an $89.80/mt tariff, while imports from Tianjin Youfa International Trade will be charged at $60.70/mt.

The AD measures are valid for a period of three years and will be applied for round tubes with a diameter of 1/2 and 5 inches; for square tubes with a 1/2 x 1/2 diameter until 100x100 millimeters, and for rectangular tubes that have a 1/2 x 1 ½ diameter until 150x50 mm, Indecopi explained.
