Panel review for steel wire imported from Canada requested

The council for Sivaco Wire Group 2004 LLP (formerly Ivaco Inc), Sivaco Ontario, a Division of Sivaco Wire Group 2004 LLP (formerly Sivaco Ontario a Division of Ivaco Inc) and Ivaco Rolling Mills 2004 LP (formerly Ivaco Rolling Mills LP) filed a First Request for Panel Review with the US Section of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) Secretariat for the final results of antidumping administrative review made by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) and the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on carbon and certain alloy steel wire imported from Canada. In line with NAFTA rules, a mechanism is established to replace domestic judicial review of final determinations in antidumping and countervailing duty cases regarding imports from NAFTA countries with review by independent binational panels. As a panel review has been requested, a panel will be established to act in place of national courts to review the final determination to determine whether it conforms with the antidumping duty law determination of the US.
