Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced that it has supplied more than 12,000 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes with an anti-corrosion coating for the projects of Kazakhstan-based oil and gas company NC KazMunaiGaz’s subsidiaries JSC Kaztransgaz and JSC Kaztransoil.
Accordingly, OMK has supplied pipes with a diameter of 1,220 mm with a wall thickness of 12 mm for the construction of the most powerful automatic gas distribution station AGRS-300 in Kazakhstan in Aktobe and also manufactured and shipped pipes with a diameter of 1,020 mm with a wall thickness of 12 mm and 14 mm for the first stage of reconstruction of the strategically important oil pipeline Uzen-Atyrau-Samara. In addition, OMK has signed a contract for the supply of pipe products for the second phase of this project.
For 12 years, OMK supplied more than 323,000 mt of high-quality LD pipes and pipeline connecting parts for the projects of JSC NC KazMunaiGas in Kazakhstan. OMK's products were used for the construction of the Kazakhstan-China pipeline, for the Central Asia-China gas pipeline, as well as for the overhaul of the TON-2 oil pipeline.
