NMDC’s iron ore output down 10.6 percent in November

Indian state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in November this year it produced 2.94 million mt of iron ore, registering a decrease of 10.6 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 2.79 million mt, remaining stable year on year.

In the first eleven months of this year, NMDC’s iron ore production totaled 18.89 million mt, rising slightly by 0.7 percent year on year, while its iron ore sales totaled 20 million mt, increasing by 3.4 percent as compared to the same period of the previous year.

In November, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 540,000 mt, down 21.7 percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines decreased by 7.7 percent to 2.4 million mt, both year on year.
