NLMK to maintain May output at April levels

Russian steelmaker NLMK has stated that in May this year it plans to maintain slab exports at the April's level, at 575,000-580,000 mt.

In total, NLMK plans to produce up to 1.1 million mt of crude steel in May and 1 million mt of steel products, unchanged compared to April.

In the January-April period of the current year, NLMK produced 4 million mt of crude steel, up 30 percent compared to the same period of last year, and 3.8 million mt of steel products, up 33 percent year on year.
