Morgan to rebuild wire mill for Mittal SA

Morgan Construction signed an agreement with South African steel producer Mittal Steel SA to rebuild a two-strand wire mill at the Newcastle Works, sources report. The mill produces low and high carbon products ranging from 5.5 mm to 14.5mm in diameter. The annual production of the mill is 700'000 tons. The deal also covers installation of a new automation system that will help Mittal Steel SA reduce its operating costs.
