Mexican auto sales up 17 percent April

New vehicle sales in Mexico rose 17 percent, year-over-year, in April to 97,606 units, the 12th consecutive increase, according to a SteelOrbis analysis of data from national statistics agency Inegi.

For the fifth consecutive year, sales are below 100,000 units for the month of April; 2019 it was the last year that this level was exceeded with 102,422 units.

From January to April, sales in the Mexican domestic market totaled 412,736 units, 22.5 percent more than in the same period in 2022.
