Mexican auto production declines 13 percent in November

Mexican auto production in November decreased 13 percent, year-on-year, to 300,292 units, according to local automotive industry association, AMIA.

Mexican exports of vehicles in November reached 268,296 units, 7.5 percent down, year-on-year. Likewise, domestic sales of cars in November dropped 7 percent, year-on-year, to 124,797 units.

As for the accumulated period of January to November, Mexican auto production totaled 3.54 million units, 3.5 percent down, year-on-year.

Mexican exports of vehicles in the eleven-month period fell 2.2 percent, year-on-year, to 3.10 million mt, while domestic auto sales in the same period reached 1.18 million units, 7.6 percent down, year-on-year.
