Manganese ore exports via Port Hedland down 0.2% in Jan from Dec

In January this year, manganese ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland decreased by 0.2 percent month on month to 112,288 metric tons, up by 27.6 percent compared to the same month of 2019, according to the monthly data released by the Port Hedland Port Authority.

Meanwhile, in January this year China was the sole destination for manganese ore shipments from Port Hedland.

Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
