Khuzestan to boost steel output

Iranian steel producer Khuzestan Steel increased its production to 2.15 million tons in the Iranian fiscal year ending March 20, 2005. Company officials disclosed that 820'000 tons of total production were exported. This tonnage indicates a 15% increase against the previous year. Exports were mainly destined to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Britain, Italy, Greece, China, Turkey, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and India, company sources report. Moreover, Khuzestan expects its production to reach 2.4 million tons in 2005.
