Indian automobile retail sales rise by 16 % in February

India’s automobile sales including all categories as denoted by new registrations in February this year have been recorded at 1,775,424 units, a rise of 16 percent over the corresponding month of the previous year, according to data released by Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Association (FADA) on Monday, March 6.

The passenger car category recorded retail sales of 287,182 units in February, up 11 percent year on year.

According to FADA, two-wheeler category sales were up 15 percent and three-wheeler sales up by 81 percent and the commercial vehicle category recorded growth of 17 percent.
