According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-July period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €6.95 billion, decreasing by 18.6 percent year on year.
In the given period, France imported €1.34 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 9.8 percent, €359.15 million of cold rolled steel bars - down by 9.5 percent, €560.43 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 20.0 percent, €349.8 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 22.2 percent, and €1.61 billion of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 7.1 percent, all compared to the same period of last year.
