France’s steel product import value down 12.5 percent in Jan-Feb

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-February period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €1.93 billion, decreasing by 12.5 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €377.1 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 5.5 percent, €106.99 million of cold rolled steel bars - increasing by 2.5 percent, €168.97 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 13.6 percent, €99.50 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 4.7 percent, and €43.82 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 0.1 percent, all compared to the same period of last year.
