Fiat Chrysler to produce new model at Mexican plant

Automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) said it will produce a new model at its Mexican plant located in Saltillo, Coahuila. The company did not disclose which model will be manufactured at the facility, but said it will be a commercial car for global sale.

Additionally, the automaker will move production of its Ram Heavy Duty from the Saltillo plant to its facility in Warren, Michigan in 2020.

For the full-year 2017, auto production at FCA Mexico rose 39 percent, year-on-year, to 638,253 units.
