Europe stands out in Turkey’s welded pipe exports in Jan-Feb 2026, while some markets decline

In February this year, Turkey’s welded pipe exports amounted to 157,589 metric tons, up by 33.0 percent compared to January and by 19.4 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $131.4 million, increasing by 11.5 percent compared to the previous month and up by 15.6 percent year on year.

In the January-February 2026 period, Turkey's welded pipe exports amounted to 276,099 mt, up 12.6 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 13.4 percent to $249.3 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded pipe export destination was UK which received 39,920 mt, up 81.3 percent year on year. UK was followed by Belgium with 26,308 mt, up 90.2 percent, and Romania with 24,870 mt, up 42.7 percent, both year on year.

Turkey’s welded pipe export data indicated moderate but balanced growth in both volume and value in the first two months of 2026. In the January-February period, exports reached 276,099 mt, up 12.6 percent, while export value increased by 13.4 percent, pointing to relatively healthy demand. Meanwhile, a 33 percent month-on-month rise in February revealed a pickup in export momentum. In terms of market distribution, Europe clearly stood out, indicating that the recovery in regional demand supported exports. Overall, the data suggest that Europe-driven growth is prominent in Turkey’s welded pipe exports, although fluctuations among markets persist.
