The European Commission has announced that it has launched an expiry review regarding the antidumping (AD) duty on welded pipe imports from Belarus, China, Russia and Ukraine.

The expiry review application was lodged by the Defence Committee of the welded steel tubes industry of the European Union, alleging the likelihood of recurrence of injury. In this respect, the applicant has provided sufficient evidence that, should measures be allowed to lapse, the current import level of the product under review from the countries concerned to the EU is likely to increase due to the existence of unused capacity of the exporting producers in the countries concerned.

The products subject to antidumping duty currently fall within CN codes ex 7306 30 41, ex 7306 30 49, ex 7306 30 72 and ex 7306 30 77.
