Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have followed a mostly stable trend in the past seven days, though with slight downticks seen also due to the soft trend of billet prices. Overall trading activity has been at normal levels. Decreases in production volumes and in market inventories have caused most traders to keep their prices stable. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may fluctuate slightly.
Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have mainly followed a stable trend during the past week, while some prices have moved down by small margins amid the downticks seen in prices of steel strip and raw materials. Overall trading activity has decreased and is currently weak due to the off-season for business. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may move on a slightly soft trend.
