Erdemir merges its pipe producer with service center

On July 14, Turkish integrated steelmaker Erdemir announced that its steel pipe producer subsidiary Erdemir Celbor Celik Cekme Boru San. ve Tic. A.S. (ERBOR) will be acquired by Erdemir Çelik Servis Merkezi San. ve Tic. A.S. (ERSEM), a steel service subsidiary of Erdemir group. The merger decision has been approved by both subsidiaries' boards of directors, Erdemir said.
 
ERBOR will implement incentives for voluntary severance.

Kirikkale-based ERBOR is specialized in production of seamless steel pipes in a diameter range of 90-328.8 mm, hot rolled steel pipes in a diameter range of 19-88.9 mm, threaded seamless steel pipes with upset ends in a diameter range of 73-244.5 mm and seamless tubings.

Meanwhile, Kocaeli-based ERSEM is a steel service center providing cutting and slitting services for hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils and coated metal products with an annual capacity of 100,000 metric tons.
