Colombian crude steel production rises in October

Colombian crude steel production in October rose 14.9 percent, year-on-year, to 123,662 mt, according to data released by the local committee of steel producers (CPA). Crude steel output in October increased 6.3 percent, month-on-month, from 116,275 mt in September.

Longs finished steel production in October increased 12.4 percent, year-on-year, and 0.1 percent, month-on-month, to 118,416 mt.

As for the accumulated period of January to October, Colombian crude steel production reached 1.15 million mt, 13.9 percent up, year-on-year. Longs finished steel production in the 10-month period was 1.14 million mt, 10.3 percent up, year-on-year.
