Colombian crude steel output declines 13.9 percent in December

Colombian crude steel production in December fell 13.9 percent, year-over-year, to 98,923 mt, said the Committee of Steel Producers (ANDI-CPA).

Colombian crude steel output in the last month of the year also dropped 11.5 percent, month-over-month, from 111,794 mt in November 2021.

Longs finished steel output in December was 99,264 mt, 19 percent down, year-over-year, and 15.5 percent down, month-over-month, from 117,535 mt in November 2021.

As for the full-year of 2021, Colombian crude steel output rose 16.4 percent, year-over-year, to 1.3 million mt. Likewise, Colombian longs finished steel production in the full-year of 2021 reached 1.5 million mt, 32.5 percent up, also on a year-over-year basis.
